Practical: a live chromatic tuner

This is the everyday product built on pitch tracking. Point your mic at a guitar, a violin, or your own voice; CREPE reads the fundamental many times a second and the needle tells you the note and how many cents sharp or flat you are β€” green when you're in tune. No native app, no cloud: the model runs on your device, and the audio never leaves it.

No mic? Play a sample through the tuner instead:

How the live path works

The mic is tapped only after you press Start (never automatically). Audio is resampled to 16 kHz, and the most-recent 1024-sample window is sent to a Web Worker running CREPE via onnxruntime-web; each result updates the needle. Frames are dropped while the worker is busy, so the UI stays smooth and INP stays low. Press Stop and every mic track is released. Below ~50% confidence (no clear tone) the needle rests and the note blanks β€” honest, never a made-up pitch.
